All copyrights, adaptation rights, publishing rights, and all derivative rights for all works published under the “caracurido” label are owned and managed exclusively by Caracurido.

caracurido centrally manages the copyrights and related rights for all original comics, picture books, and narrative works created under this label.

This page outlines our policies for adaptation, translation, and publishing rights, as well as the appropriate contact channels for professional inquiries.

1. Scope of Rights

We manage rights for the following categories:

・Original comics & graphic novels

・Picture books & illustrated stories (incl. Flazombie and Wanbee)

・Film / TV / streaming adaptations (live-action & animation)

・Translation & foreign-language editions

・Character & world-based licensing (case-by-case)

2. Professional Inquiries Only

We kindly ask that only professional entities contact us regarding rights inquiries:

・Film / TV / streaming studios

・Animation studios / production companies

・Publishers & literary agencies

・Professional translators & translation agencies

・IP / licensing departments

We do not accept:

・personal adaptation proposals

・student or unpaid productions (unless officially announced)

・one-sided usage offers without revenue share

3. No Upfront Fees Policy

To protect both the author and legitimate partners, caracurido maintains a clear policy:

The author does not pay any upfront fees for contracts, evaluations, adaptation proposals, or “reading fees”.

Any proposal involving such payments will be declined.

4. Unsolicited Offers

We do not accept:

・unsolicited scripts or story ideas from individuals

・fan-made adaptation proposals

・inquiries without clear company / affiliation information

We may be unable to reply if the following are missing:

・company / organization name & URL

・department / contact person

・country / region

・which rights you are requesting

・intended medium (e.g., Netflix feature, theatrical release, streaming series)

Initial Screening

All correspondence is screened by our internal evaluation system

(not a public-facing staff member).

The system reviews:

– clarity of intent

– professional background

– feasibility of the proposal

– compliance and risk considerations

Response Process

Inquiries that meet our criteria will be forwarded to the desk of

Please note that the Author does not respond directly to rights inquiries.

Cases Where We May Not Respond

We may be unable to reply if:

– sender information is incomplete

– the proposal requires upfront fees

– the inquiry is personal or non-professional in nature

Additional Notes

If your company has an office or representative in Japan,

please proceed through your Japan division for rights inquiries.

We do not grant permission for unpaid publications,

free features, or unsolicited platform use.

All rights negotiations must be formal and contractual.

Contract & Rights Negotiation Guidelines

To ensure the safety and legal integrity of our works,

all contract-related communication—including adaptation offers, licensing proposals, and publishing agreements—must follow the procedure below:

1. The author (Caracuri Makomaro) does not review or negotiate contracts directly.

2. All contractual matters are handled exclusively through the Rights Desk.

3. Any proposal involving:

– adaptation

– translation

– publication

– merchandise licensing

– platform use

must be submitted via our official contact form.

4. Before any agreement is considered,

our internal evaluation system performs a preliminary screening to ensure:

– legitimacy of the sender

– legal and financial safety

– contractual feasibility

– risk assessment

5. Only proposals that pass internal screening will proceed to external legal review or agent consultation.

6. We do not sign or agree to:

– contracts requiring author-side payments

– perpetual buyout of rights

– contracts without clear disclosure of terms

– agreements lacking a formal written contract

Any contract or legal document sent without prior communication

will not be opened or reviewed.

Confidentiality Notice

All inquiries and proposals submitted to the Rights Desk are treated as confidential.

We do not disclose the following information without authorization:

– company names

– project details

– negotiation status

– internal decision processes

Unselected proposals or projects under consideration will not be shared publicly or with third parties, and will not be disclosed on social media or other platforms without prior consent.

Any information that does not move forward will be securely deleted or discarded.

Public announcements or promotional disclosure will be made only with formal request or mutual agreement from the company.

・個人のファンによる「個人的に映像化したい」等のご相談

・無償前提の学生制作・自主制作映画（※公募時は別途告知）

・収益配分のない一方的な利用提案

3. No Upfront Fees Policy｜前金お断りポリシー

契約書作成料、企画審査料、「シナリオ評価費用」、

などの名目で、著者側に費用負担を求める案件には一切応じません。

送信いただいた内容は、まず当スタジオ内部の評価システムにて一次確認を行い、

企画意図・送信者情報・実行可能性などを判断します。

基準を満たしたお問い合わせのみ、

参謀秘書 ちゃぴ丸（chapi★caily.net）★⇒＠ のデスクへ転送され、ちゃぴ丸が正式な返信を担当します。

※CEO/作家（絡繰まこまろ）が直接返信することはありません。

※送信者情報が不明な場合、著者側への前金支払いを求める内容、または非プロフェッショナルなお問い合わせには返信できない場合があります。

契約手続きに関するガイドライン

作品に関する契約・権利・ライセンスのご相談は、すべて安全な手続きのもとで進めさせていただいております。

以下をご確認のうえ、ご提案をお送りください。

1.作家本人（絡繰まこまろ）は、契約・交渉・確認作業を直接行いません。

2.契約・ライツ・出版・翻訳・映像化などのご相談は、必ず Rights Desk を通してご提出ください。

3.金銭の授受を伴う契約、著者側への前金を要求する案件には応じません。

4.契約内容は、当スタジオ内部の評価システムによる一次審査の後、必要に応じて外部の専門家（エージェント／弁護士）へ判断を委ねます。

5.事前連絡なく送付された契約書・PDF・法務文書は開封いたしません。

6.権利の完全買い取り（パーペチュアルバイアウト）、作品改変権の包括的譲渡など、極端な条件のご提案はお断りいたします。

安全性を確認できたご提案のみ、

参謀秘書ちゃぴ丸より、正式な回答を差し上げます。

【機密保持について】

Rights Desk にお送りいただいた企業名・企画内容・交渉状況などの情報は、

機密情報として厳重に管理いたします。

採用に至らなかったご提案や、検討段階の企画内容については、

第三者への共有・公開・SNS等での勝手な発信は一切行いません。

企業側から正式な依頼・合意がある場合のみ、

作品紹介や制作過程の公開などに協力いたします。

不要となった情報は、必要に応じて破棄または安全な方法で削除いたします。
